The 4 Winter Wardrobe Items That You Need In Multiples

Well hello, 2017! I started this year by hitting the ground and running! SO many exciting things going on in my world, including new headshots (my favorite is this one above. Who doesn’t love a fierce hair-blow?!), and exciting projects and events in the works. Three of them I can clue you in on now:

  1. The date for the Spring Style Swap has been set! Once again partnering with my favorite ladies and amazing non-profit group Easton Women of Today. The clothing swap will take place on Thursday April 6th, once again at the Easton Country Club. Be sure to follow us all on social media and check your email for the ticket release date!
  2. I am launching monthly style workshops and webinars! Feedback I had gotten from my previous Speed Styling events was that people wanted to more time to learn fashion and beauty tips and apply them to themselves. So now I am delivering! The first workshop will be in February, stay tuned for details! (and if you want to be one of the first to receive an invite, shoot me a reply and let me know!)
  3. I joined amazing Boston based company Peach! REVOLUTIONARY basics and foundation garments. Have you ever heard of a cami that actually stays in place all day and doesn’t ride up? Or a TEN point measuring system to generate your custom bra size?! Yes, ma’am! Contact me to learn more or book your free measure. virtually or in person. It will change your life!

Now let’s talk about the 4 most important Winter Wardrobe items that you need in multiples!

There are those winter pieces that you know you need, and maybe have multiples of like scarves and gloves. But if you think you only need one jacket or one pair of boots, think again! Invest in a variety of these essentials with a purpose, to make keeping warm fashionable and fun![

Jackets- Don’t feel guilty about having a few winter jackets. As kids we usually only got one winter jacket each year that we wore to school and outside to roll around in the snow. As an adult, think of your outerwear as an extension of your outfit! You are allowed to have a puffy jacket for the snowy weather and days that you are running errands, a longer top coat for evening and formal affairs, as well as a fun, expressive jacket that includes pattern, leather or fur for example.

Boots- again, absolutely recommend having a pair of “play” boots in addition to the rest of your shoe collection. A trusty pair of snow and/or insulated rain boots for the wet weather, flat boots for casual and some dressy boots with heels to pair with dresses or dressy outfits. I personally swear by my Uggs to keep my feet toasty when it’s beyond cold out, Hunter boots for the rain/slush and leather flat and heeled boots for when the weather is bearable and the ground is clean. (Also check out my recent facebook live to see what other item is necessary for your shoes to have in the winter!)

Long Sleeve Tops- from a basic knit long sleeve shirt to a cable knit turtleneck, these are great layering pieces! Wear underneath your sweaters or even dresses to give new life to existing wardrobe items and to keep warm and cozy. I love the dimensional look of adding sleeves under a short sleeve chunky sweater or a tank top dress, especially if you use a print like stripes or a solid in a pop of color.

Tights/Leggings- Something to cover and protect your legs from the elements! Leggings are perfect with a long sweater and cozy boots, and tights are must haves to transition your fall dresses and skirts into winter. And they give us fun options to insert our personality into our looks, from solid black to patterns and colors!

So if you already have these items, take them out and use them to keep warm and trendy! And if you’re still shopping for winter items, now you know what to grab first.
