Style Story: Stephanie

I was fortunate enough to work with a young lady named Stephanie recently. Her Style Story goes like this: In her personal life Stephanie is really evolving into womanhood.  A new homeowner, newly engaged and a career woman it was truly time for her image to reflect her evolution. Her current job has her wearing a uniform 5 days a week, leaving her weekend wardrobe a bit too casual. “Errand” and weekend outfits typically consisted on tees, jeans and sneakers.

My mission was to get her key versatile pieces that be worn casual on the weekends and then double as business casual pieces for business meetings at work. I wanted to upgrade her very casual sneakers and tee outifts, introduce more accessories into her wardrobe and be sure she had at least one killer suit. *Tricia’s Tip: I introduced her to my “instant pulled together fashionista on the go” equation= flattering jeans+ shirt+ scarf/statement necklace+ flats.

We started with a Closet Analysis where I peeked into her closet to see what she was already working with.  Then we headed to the mall for our Shopping Trip. Stephanie ended up with versatile pieces to make up a new wardrobe for fall: 2 new pairs of jeans (dark wash and skinny silhouette that she did not previously own), 2 new pairs of boots (because now she has the right style jeans pant leg to tuck into winter boots!), 5 tops, a blazer, 3 cardigans for layering, a new more chic zip up sweatshirt to replace her youthful hoodie, a winter jacket (because now the old fleece that went with the tee and sneaks simply wouldnt cut it with the new fab boots and jeans!), a scarf, a necklace (her first costume jewelry necklace!) and a bracelet.  We then returned to her closet for a Coordinating Session. I showed her how many outfit combinations she could make by combining new and existing pieces. She tried everything on and I took pictures that later made up her new winter Look Book. Below are just a few of these pictures, showing how versatile each of her new purchases truly are!
