Many thanks for all the help you gave me. When you came for my closet consultation I thought you would tell me it all needed to be tossed. I hate throwing clothes away so I keep them and have a closet full of clothes that I won’t wear. What a revelation you made. Out of my “junk” you made over 30 outfits for me, and told me my old check and plaid pants (that I love but thought old fashioned) were very retro and back and factored in my new outfits. After a check list we found that I only needed 3 items to round out my wardrobe, light jacket, belt and necklace. I wanted jeans also but hate to shop. Next came your shopping (without me). I was awed to find that what you brought me all fit. Out of 10 pairs of jeans you brought, I selected 4, but what was amazing was that they all fit. How do you do that? The jacket and necklace matched everything I had. I felt wonderful about my clothes after you got through with them. The next part was the most important and best for me – you took pictures of all my outfits and put them in a little album which I keep on my bedside table. When I want to go somewhere, I check the weather then flip through the book and select an outfit. How easy. I use to agonize over what to wear, trying things on to see what goes with what. I hired Tricia to help me shop and the experience was great. I didn’t realize that while she was coordinating outfits for me that she was also keeping track of my budget, making sure we made the essential purchases before the others. That was honestly one of the best parts of it all. It was nice to see she knew how to shop on a budget and I truly valued that. I learned a lot during our 3 hour shopping trip, some of those things were: how to coordinate outfits, what’s in style now, how to get creative and mix and match, and I also learned that the one store I thought had sizes and styles that wouldn’t fit my figure or my wallet was my favorite store of all and my preconceived notions were totally wrong. I’ve shopped at that store several times since my trip with Tricia. Tricia is great, although our styles aren’t the same it didn’t matter because she knows the industry and she knows how to dress all people. She made me be more daring in my selection of color, but everything we bought suits me, my style, and my attitude. She also saved me time!!! We walked into each store and she did all the work, I let her take total control and trusted her. If I tried something on and it didn’t fit then she’d run out and grab another size or color. Also, she was honest!!! If she thought I looked like a sack of potatoes, or if a pair of jeans were just a little too tight then she told me. I was in need of a new pair of jeans, and was not having any luck finding a pair that fit well I decided to get help. Tricia had done a closet analysis for me in the fall and I was quite surprised at all the different outfits she put together, it was like I had a whole new wardrobe. I met Tricia at the mall, she had a strategy all planned out. She had actually gone to the mall the week before and scouted out the stores we would go to based on the questionnaire I had filled out. We went to stores I have never shopped in for one reason or another. I was pleasantly surprised. In an hour and a half I had tried on probably 20 pairs of jeans. I left the mall with 2 great fitting jeans and ordered a 3rd pair on line. What a difference in the fit from what I had been wearing. I recently got a promotion at my job. I really wanted to dress the part, but my raise was not enough to buy a brand new wardrobe. I must admitt, I was hesitant to let a stranger into my closet, make fun of how I dress and try to make me wear clothes that I hated because they were ‘in style’. Apparently I had been watching too many reality makeover shows, because that was absolutely not the case! I wasn’t criticized at all, nor was I made to throw anything away.
